Getting Involved - Students
Tournament of Minds (TOM) is an exciting challenge where students get to solve real-world problems in creative ways!
What’s TOM all about?
In TOM, you'll work in teams to tackle a fun, open-ended challenge in one of these disciplines:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- The Arts
- Social Sciences
- Language and Literature
You and your team will brainstorm, design, and present your solution – and you can get as creative as you like! It’s a chance to test your teamwork, problem-solving skills, and imagination.
Why should you join?
Not only is TOM a lot of fun, but it’s also a great way to:
- Work on unique challenges as a team
- Develop your creativity and critical thinking
- Build confidence by presenting your ideas
How can you get involved?
- Step 1: Talk to your teacher! They can help you understand the competition and how to join.
- Step 2: Chat with classmates or friends who might want to form a team.
- Step 3: See if your school has participated in TOM before – someone there may have great tips to share.
So, are you ready to dive in? Tournament of Minds is an incredible opportunity to challenge yourself, make new friends, and have a blast working on something meaningful.
